SUNSET VIEW COTTAGE in Portmahomack in the Scottish Highlands gives you a little bit of luxury in a lovely location.  A great place for a holiday any time of the year. We sit in an elevated position with great views of Portmahomack beach, the harbour, the Dornoch Firth and the Sutherland hills.  And despite being on the east coast, we get great sunset views over the sea.  Hence the name!

SUNSET VIEW COTTAGE has 3 bedrooms (1 king, 1 double & 1 twin) and 2 bathrooms.  The living area is spacious and furnished to a high quality with a coastal theme.

Renovation and extension of the cottage finished in 2018.   Here’s what our vistors say:

SUNSET VIEW COTTAGE AVAILABILITY:

SUMMER – We generally only take 7 day bookings during the peak season, so if you are looking for a short stay, we’re sorry, but we probably can’t help.    Bookings generally are Saturday to Saturday.

SPRING AND AUTUMN – Most bookings will be 7 days but we can sometimes do short breaks.  May and June are often the best months for weather.  April, September and October can be good too.

WINTER – Don’t be deterred by the risk of a little bad weather in November – March!   It can be great having a bracing walk along the beach (or a trip to the pub – www.castlehotel.pub) and coming in to a warm house with a cozy stove.  Short breaks 3 nights plus are available.  We have had visitors from the South of Englandshire in the depths of winter, and they have all survived!

If there is something we haven’t covered in our website, please give us a call on 07850 660378.
